Versaflex celebrates 20 years of polyurea

The company started in the polyurea joint fillers and sealants market supplying concrete repair and flooring materials to industrial and commercial warehouses, factories, and retail outlets. Soon thereafter VersaFlex joint fillers and sealants were being specified into to many of the nations leading retailers and big box stores.

VersaFlex simultaneously entered the polyurea protective coatings and linings marketplace and has earned the reputation of having the best performing and widest selection of specially designed pure polyurea systems available. Today, VersaFlex products can be found in many of the world’s high duty infrastructure markets such as the oil and gas sector for secondary containment, the water and wastewater industry with NSF 61.5 approved potable water systems, the bridge, highway and tunnel markets with waterproof membranes, and anti-microbial applications to name just a few.

VersaFlex’s product design team includes Dudley J. Primeaux II, PCS, CCI the world’s original developer of polyurea spray technology. Primeaux and the rest of the VersaFlex R&D team are the inventors on over 30 patents covering polyurea technology and processes.

VersaFlex is not only the leading developer of polyurea technology, but in addition, this expertise is leveraged into the production plant. VersaFlex Incorporated has been an ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturer since January 2009. VersaFlex was actually the first company in the US to receive ISO certification under the newer 2008 standard. In 2013, the VersaFlex product development and testing laboratory achieved ISO 9001:2008 “Design Certification,” making VersaFlex the only polyurea supplier with both ISO manufacturing and design quality management systems.
