Continental expands activities in Russia

Continental finalised an off-take and tyre supply agreement with Nizhnekamsk All Steel Tire Plant (NASTP), a subsidiary of Tatneft. With this contract Continental secures supply of up to 200,000 truck tyres for the Russian market.

These tyres will be produced in the NASTP which has a capacity of 1,200,000 truck tyres per year. The factory was built with the support of Continental and opened in December 2009. Under the agreement NASTP will supply Continental as well as Matador branded tyres according to Continental’s quality standards.
