Tosaf starts new compounding plant

Tosaf, a manufacturer of compounds, colour and additive masterbatches for the plastics industry, has recently completed the start-up of a new production plant for tailor-made plastic compounds in Afula, Israel.

With a production capacity of 50 kt/y, the new factory adds to the company’s existing capacity of 90 kt/y for compounds and masterbatches. Tosaf Group, founded in 1985, is a joint-venture between Megides Holding and the Ravago Group, with an expected turnover of more than EUR 200 million in 2010. The group operates nine factories in Israel, Turkey, Germany, UK (Colloids Ltd.), the Netherlands and the Ukraine, with a total of 720 employees.
