Change of leadership at Freudenberg

Dr. Peter Bettermann, 65, who has been Speaker of the Management Board and general partner of Freudenberg & Co. Kommanditgesellschaft for many years, has officially handed over responsibility to his successor, Dr. Mohsen Sohi, 53, on 1 July 2012. Following 18 years on the Management Board, Bettermann has gone into retirement on 30 June 2012.

The decision to appoint Sohi as Speaker of the Management Board had already been taken in June 2011 and in the past months he had taken on responsibility for strategic development, portfolio management as well as for central corporate functions. Sohi has been a member of the Management Board since May 2010. He was formerly President and CEO at Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership, USA, since 2003.

Dr. Ralf Krieger, 48, who joined the Management Board in October 2011, has already taken on the CFO responsibilities of Bettermann. Previously, Krieger was Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Management Board at Freudenberg Sealing Technologies.

The Management Board now consists of a total of four members. Already in July 2010, Christoph Mosmann, 50, joined the Management Board. Furthermore, Dr. Martin Stark, 51, has been a member of the Management Board since 2005.
