BBG to shocase two product premieres at its 3rd Innovation Day
In addition, BBG will show two product premieres. The assistance system MCS_Assistance and the new electrical mould carrier system BFT-P V7 15x11 will be demonstrated for the first time.
The new BFT-P V7 15x11 is the fifth variant added to the broad range of electrical mould carrier systems
The new BFT-P V7 15x11, offering a compact and clear design
The new BFT-P V7 15x11 is the fifth version to complement the wide range of electrical mould carrier systems. It comes with mounting plates sized 1,500 x 1,100 mm – alternatively 1,700 x 1,100 mm – and has been designed for moulds and materials weighing 3,700 kg in total, which can be held by means of magnetic clamping plates. This quick-release system and the short closing and opening times contribute to the high level of productivity. Further benefits include the harmonious and low-noise sequence of system movements, the good energy balance and low maintenance requirements. Another asset is the top-mounted mould clamping plate, which is mounted on plain bearings and uses compressed-air cushions to ensure the uniform closing of the mould carrier. This highly compact carrier system is mainly used for the encapsulation of car glass.
Assistance system MCS_Assistance
The new MCS_Assistance software supports programmers during all phases of creating the customised system programme and finally serves as the man-machine interface of the system. Subprogrammes for mould carriers, various tools, and the relevant programme parameters can be approved step by step. Furthermore, it is possible to take several groups of persons on board and assign different access authorisations to them for individual programme steps and software sections. This clear-cut definition of roles and access rights as well as consistent logging ensure the traceability of all changes that are relevant for quality in the production of components as required by DIN ISO EN 9001:2008.
A large screen is used to visualise all system conditions. Users are guided through the menus almost intuitively thanks to a clear structure and presentation. Moreover, MCS_Assistance also facilitates maintenance and service since the assistance system logs any errors that occur, thus making it easier to analyse causes and to troubleshoot quickly. The software will be available as from August 2013 and can be retrofitted on existing systems.
Another highlight will be Prof. Ralf Cuntze’s presentation on the importance of structural simulation in the development of components made of fibre-plastic composites. The speaker, who used to work for MAN Technologie AG, Augsburg, in the development of the Ariane rocket range, of satellite components, ATV Jules Verne and solar and wind energy, is now actively committed to Carbon Composites e. V.
