Improving product performance and efficiency of installation boxes
Airtight housings are moulded from Maxxam FR polypropylene compounds and overmoulded with OnFlex FR thermoplastic elastomers. The TPE serves as an impermeable elastic membrane, reducing air leakage by 95 % compared to standard electrical installation boxes, and leads to energy savings for Schneider’s customers.
In addition the regulatory-compliant PP has a lower density than traditional materials, which reduces material consumption and housing weight for greater production efficiency.
