Gerresheimer at Pharmapack Paris

Gerresheimer will be exhibiting its entire range of products for the pharma and biotech industry at the Pharmapack Paris international exhibition and conference on February 23 and 24. The portfolio extends from pharmaceutical vials to complex drug delivery systems such as ready-to-fill syringe systems, insulin pens and inhalers for safe medication dosage and application.

Visitors to the Gerresheimer exhibition stand can obtain information and advice about tubular glass, moulded glass, plastic packaging and medical plastic systems products from the experts. "We will be exhibiting a very comprehensive and innovative range of products at Pharmapack Paris. By regularly sharing experience and knowledge with our partners, we intend to continue developing high quality and sophisticated pharmaceutical primary packaging products for our customers," said Claudia Petersen, Director Business Development at Gerresheimer Bünde GmbH, the Gerresheimer Group's syringe competence center.

"The Medical Plastic Systems division delivers a fully comprehensive service extending from the initial design sketches through tool making, automation technology and production to packaging and international logistics," added Karin Strasser, Marketing Director Medical Plastic Systems.

The diverse pharmaceutical packaging products and customer-specific medical plastic systems will be on display directly next to the Pharma-pack entrance on Stand 133. They include the new multilayer plastic vials for parenteral medications, ClearJect COP syringes, RTF syringe systems, the Duma twist-off closures with US seal and various inhalers, pens and diagnostic systems.

Just a few days ago the company established a Medical Innovation Group. "Many of our customers from the pharmaceutical industry clearly expressed their wish to refocus on their core business, i.e. the development of active substances. Therefore, the responsibility for the development of primary packaging, such as inhalers or insulin pens is often delegated to external service providers. The same applies to our customers from the diagnostics and medical technology segments. They expect a wider range of preliminary services from OEM suppliers to help them reduce their time-to-market," Andreas Schütte, CEO of Gerresheimer Regensburg GmbH explains. In order to meet these new and substantially more complex customer requirements, Gerresheimer has now founded the Medical Innovation Group, featuring product management, design and development as well as CAD, IP and documentation. The group starts with seven engineers, designers and patent management experts.
