Biesterfeld announced that it is expanding its long-term partnership in the field of paints and varnishes with Evonik, a leading manufacturer of chemical specialities. Following the companies’ successful cooperation for a selected portfolio in various countries, Biesterfeld has received further distribution rights. With immediate effect, the company is now the exclusive distributor for Evonik’s Coating Additives business line (CAD) in Central and Southeastern Europe.

Biesterfeld Performance Rubber is strengthening its long-standing collaboration with industry-leading polymer supplier ExxonMobil Chemical by taking on the distribution of Oppera in the European market.

Domo Chemicals has named Bamberger Polymers an authorised distribution partner effective immediately. Bamberger will offer Domo’s North American product portfolio including Domamid, Econamid and Domonyl Nylon 6 and 66 compounds. For more than 50 years, Bamberger Polymers has serviced the plastics industry distributing thermoplastic resins to customers worldwide. The company offers products to injection moulders, blow moulders, compounders, extruders, and manufacturers of plastic products.

Biesterfeld Spezialchemie has been granted the Preferred Distributorship for plastics processing materials and spray adhesives from CRC Industries, a producer of speciality chemicals for maintenance, repair and overhaul for professionals and do-it-yourselfers. The products are primarily used in plastics processing, the automotive industry and general industry. With immediate effect, Biesterfeld will distribute the brands Servisol, CRC and a part of Kontakt Chemie in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Hamburg-based engineering plastics distributor K.D. Feddersen is now the official distributor in Germany as well as in all major countries in Northern, Central and Eastern Europe for TPE, TPU materials and bioplastics from Trinseo.

The Krahn Chemie Group, which is part of the globally operating Otto Krahn Group, has acquired majority stakes in six companies from Jollis AB & Partners, Sweden.

Azelis announced a new agreement with Synthomer for the distribution of its polymers and additives for paints, primers, coatings, sealers and inks. Effective from February 2021, the agreement covers Poland, Russia and Ukraine. It builds upon a successful distribution partnership between the two companies in these regions for Synthomer’s Functional Solutions. Azelis said the new agreement broadens its product offering into the coatings, construction and adhesives market in Poland, and coatings and adhesives in Russia and Ukraine.

Biesterfeld Spezialchemie has been granted distribution rights for Italy by Dymax, a leading manufacturer of light-curing adhesives, potting compounds, conformal coatings and curing equipment, with immediate effect. These products, which are primarily used in medical technology, industry and electronics sectors, have been distributed by Biesterfeld in the DACH region, the Baltic countries and parts of eastern Europe since 2018. In 2020 the distribution area was extended to include more eastern European countries such as Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.

Effective 1 April 2021, Solvay will expand the distribution in the EMEA region (excluding Italy) of its Solef PVDF and Halar ECTFE specialty polymers through Biesterfeld Plastic and Ixef PARA via Albis.
