Gummiwerk Kraiburg: Dr. Darijo Mijolović is taking over as CEO
Dr. Darijo Mijolović is taking over the management of Gummiwerk Kraiburg GmbH & Co. KG in Waldkraiburg, Germany, and its subsidiaries in Bulgaria and Russia on 1 March 2021. He succeeds Helmut Esefeld, who has successfully managed the company since 2006 and is now going into retirement.

Mijolović has extensive knowledge of the chemical and elastomer industry as well as many years of experience in management and leadership roles. He graduated with a chemistry degree from the University of Regensburg in 1998, and received his doctorate in 2001. After graduation, Mijolović joined BASF SE at its head office in Ludwigshafen and continuously expanded his knowledge of polymer chemistry during his more than eleven years working there. Initially, he worked as a laboratory manager in polymer research and then as a project manager for the chemical group's intermediates business development. In 2010, he took over as Head of Development for the Paper Chemicals Europe business unit.
Following his career at BASF SE, Mijolović moved to Kraiburg TPE GmbH & Co. KG in Waldkraiburg, a member of the Kraiburg group of companies and manufacturer of thermoplastic elastomers. As Director Corporate R+D he was globally responsible for research and development as well as innovation management. From 2017, he was also given overall responsibility for quality, energy and environmental management. He played a key role in the global restructuring and reorganisation of internal processes and was entrusted with setting up a sustainability management system for the internationally active company. Over the course of the last seven years, the graduate chemist has gained extensive experience in the elastomer industry. With the change within the Kraiburg group of companies, he will now take over as CEO at Gummiwerk Kraiburg on 1 March 2021.
