Bayer MaterialScience closes PU systems houses in Italy, Greece and the Czech Republic

Bayer MaterialScience has announced that it will close three of its PU systems houses: in Italy (Mussolente), in Greece (Athens) and in the Czech Republic (Cerekvice nad Bystrici).

The supply for customers in these regions will be secured by other PU systems houses and by the integrated Bayer sites. BMS said that this measure is part of a rationalisation programme in order to keep its leading position and competitiveness. BMS also emphasised that it will maintain the systems house idea but will strengthen the systems house business in other regions of the world, mainly in fast growing Asian regions.
