Chinaplas 2013

Chinaplas 2013 – the 27^th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, Asia’s no. 1 and world’s no. 2 plastics and rubber trade fair, will return to Guangzhou and take place at China Import & Export Fair Complex on 20 – 23 May 2013. As the top province of the plastic products industry in China, Guangdong gathers more than 3,000 large-scale enterprises and it achieved a total of over 10 million t of plastic products production in 2011, occupying 20 % of the total production volume of China.

The exhibition area of the fair is expected to reach over 220,000 m<sup>2</sup> and cover a total of 25 exhibition halls of zone A and B, with an increase of 22 % compared to the last edition held at Guangzhou in 2011. The trade show will gather more than 2,800 exhibitors from 36 countries and regions including country pavilions from Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, PR China, Taiwan, Turkey, UK, and USA. They will showcase diversified chemicals and raw materials and over 3,200 units of plastics and rubber machineries, bringing advanced technologies and solutions for the automotive, building & construction, E & E, IT & telecommunications, food and beverage, packaging, daily chemicals and pharmaceuticals, and other industries. The organisers expect to attract over 115,000 professional buyers from 150 countries and regions, in which 25 % will be overseas visitors. Eleven theme zones will be set up which enable buyers from different industries to effectively visit and search their interested exhibitors: Injection Molding Machinery Zone, Extrusion Machinery Zone, Plastic Packaging & Blow Molding Machinery Zone, Film Technology Zone, Rubber Machinery & Equipment Zone, Auxiliary & Testing Equipment Zone, Die & Mould Zone, Chemicals & Raw Materials Zone, Semi-finished Products Zone, Bioplastics Zone, and Chinese Export Machinery & Materials Hall.

One of the attractions at Chinaplas 2012 in Shanghai was the so-called “Future Zone” and the presentation of a concept car. At Chinaplas 2013 a series of special events focusing on the building and construction industries will be organised. In collaboration with building materials suppliers different exhibition zones and activities to highlight the role of polymers in the building and construction industries will be presented. This will include the presentation of the “Archi-Light” concept house sponsored by Sabic.

About the organisers

Chinaplas 2013 is organised by Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. and co-organised by the China Foreign Trade Centre (Group), China National Light Industry Council – China Plastics Processing Industry Association, China Plastics Machinery Industry Association, Guangdong Plastics Industry Association, Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd., the Plastic Trade Association of Shanghai, and Beijing Yazhan Exhibition Services Ltd. The event is also supported by various plastics and rubber associations in China and abroad.
