Bayer MaterialScience promotes safety, freedom, and happiness at K2013

You may be forgiven for thinking this is a tag line from a 1960s campaign to advertise one of the many life changing discoveries made by Bayer during the last 150 years – the contraceptive pill or the latest pop festival. No, these are the values and issues that the company wants to share with visitors to its stand at this year’s K show.

Expanding on its “dream production”, the innovative chemistry involving the use of carbon dioxide as a raw material, Bayer will now be a “dream catcher” during K show. The booth will be a “show and tell” experience, where visitors can share their dreams for the future regarding products and materials.

Bayer MaterialScience has developed its booth since K2010, where touch sensitive display tables took visitors through the various products, technologies, and applications under development. This year’s booth will include several huge iPad style installations and three sections – Safe, Free, and Happy – where visitors will be encouraged to interact with the exhibits in the spirit of open innovation. In addition, a series of famous explorers, technologists, and environmentalists will be visiting to share and collect dreams.
