PFA achieves record growth in membership throughout North and South America

Since announcing its new federated membership category in May 2013, the PFA has gained several new members from Canada and Brazil and flexible polyurethane foam producers from other Panamerican countries are expected to join soon.

PFA has earned a reputation as a strong and insightful advocacy group on behalf of the flexible polyurethane foam industry and provides educational technical bulletins, legal briefings, white papers, and position papers for members. “PFA provides a valuable service to its members and, as the economy continues to improve, membership in our industry’s trade association becomes an investment that’s easy to justify. It’s no secret that the pressure is on from regulatory groups and PFA is best equipped to take on those challenges,” Progar added.

The Polyurethane Foam Association was founded in 1980 and represents manufacturers of open cell flexible polyurethane foam as commonly used in upholstered furniture seating, mattresses, pillows and automotive interiors. In 2012, more than 1 billion pounds of flexible polyurethane foam were produced by US foam producers. The PFA membership also includes raw material suppliers and companies that provide processing equipment and related services.
