APS Elastomers offers TPUs with improved extrudability
“The specially formulated TPU enables a thinner wall for tubing, which requires less material; allowing significant cost savings for tubing manufacturers,” said Stephane Morin, owner of APS Elastomers.
The ability to use harder grades of TPUs allows increased productivity and cost efficiency; affording processors and OEMs additional design options. Additionally, the TPUs offer higher burst pressures while retaining the advantages of softer TPUs. Ranging in Shore hardness from 50 D to 74 D, the TPU improves extrusion output without loss of melt viscosity or crystallisation in the die or on the screw.
