Arichemie at the Eurocoat 2011
Together with its trading partner Provençale, Arichemie will be presenting its range of products at stand C52 at the trade show.
The aqueous pigment preparations of the Vocaflex series provide strong and brilliant colour accents with quality organic and inorganic pigments. The light-fast and good weathering stability of the pigments used is seen in the level of their stability, especially in the critical area of yellow, red and orange tones, says Arichemie. The Vocaflex “classic” series has been in use for decades as an aqueous VOC-containing pigment preparation with adjusted colour intensity. Today, it is used preferably for printing inks. Vocaflex has been increasingly adapted to meet the requirements of colouring pastes used in the building paints industry. This requires a new choice of raw materials which differ from the Vocaflex “classic” series by their adjusted colour intensity and density.
Vocaflex-LF includes VOC-free and VOC-low aqueous pigment preparations with adjusted density, which are suitable for dosing and mixing systems. The main areas of application are dispersion paints for façades, interior rooms and plasters. In addition, they are also compatible with many different aqueous paint and lacquer systems. The pastes satisfy the requirements for paints complying with the requirements of RAL UZ 102 and EU-Decopaint Directive 2010.
The Vocaflex-EN series has been further extended to meet the technical requirements of the toy norm EN 71. This aqueous pigment paste without benzisothiazolone (BIT) is available in 20 colour indices and well suited for uses such as children’s paints, window colours or silk paints.
Arichemie is focusing on renewable raw materials in many resin-based pigment preparations. For example, in the case of Vocaplast-P, which contains the “green polyol” Sovermol – the pigment preparation was developed in collaboration with Cognis.
Vocaplast-L is a linseed oil-based paste which not only achieves good transparency in wood varnishes with various colour tones, but is also used in bio-plastics based on maize or potato starch.
Aricolor-N is the latest development from Arichemie, which is based on castor oil or rapeseed oil, or with a carrier specified by the customer for a particular application. It produces good processing results for solvent-containing lacquers, sports floors as well as thermoplastics.
The UV-curing pigment preparations of the Vocaplast-UV series are based on customer-specific resins. They are preferentially used in printing inks and surface coatings, and are based on free-radical or cationic-curing systems.
