Wanhua Chemical to exhibit at PU China 2013

Wanhua Chemical will present its innovation achievements on PU raw materials and applications, including competitive products such as MDI, TPU, polyols, etc., and newly-developed products such as ADI, amines catalysts, and water-borne PU materials. In addition, the company’s new strategy will be announced during the event.

Wanhua Chemical says it is currently undergoing the transformation from a PU supplier to a fully integrated chemical company. A new integrated chemical complex is being constructed in the Yantai area, which will further solidify the company's position in the polyurethane industry. Moreover, the company will significantly broaden its product portfolio to coatings and specialities as well as petrochemicals including propylene, acrylic acid and the associated esters.

To meet the growing market demands, Wanhua Chemical says it is investing in Southern China to build its third domestic intergrated site with R&D, manufacturing, sales, storage, logistics and application service. Phase 1 of the project includes capacities for 100,000 t/y waterborne resins, 50,000 t/y modified MDI, and 20,000 t/y TPU. The plant construction was started in July 2013. Furthermore, another site in Western China is also being planned, says the company.

This exhibition is the first time for the company to officially present itself under the new name “Wanhua Chemical”. Innovative applications in fields such as construction, appliance, automotive, furniture, and packaging will be displayed at the exhibition, says the company.
