William K. Irwin, Jr., Executive Director of Carpenters International Training Fund, has been a union carpenter for more than 40 years, starting as an apprentice, becoming a journeyworker, foreman, holding various offices in his local union, a delegate to the New England Regional Council of Carpenters, serving as training director for five carpenter locals, director of the New England Carpenters Training Fund and rising to his current position.
