Zorge expands injection moulding capacities at Katwijk site

After recent expansions in its Hungarian production site Dutch customer moulder Zorge also expands capacities in its facility in Katwijk. The company announced on 26 March 2012 that a new Arburg injection moulding machine will be set in operation.

The Katwijk site now employs six fully controlled and automated injection moulding machines for the production of rubber and thermoplastic parts. The site has specialised in the full automated one or two component injection moulding processing of soft materials (TPE and LSR).

The company started its injection moulding production techniques after its rubber activities were moved to the Hungarian production site in 2001. Zorge said, that the sales in injection moulded parts has steadily increased since then, enabling the company to enforce its position as rubber precision moulding specialist within the European manufacturing industry.

Zorge manufactures custom specified elastomeric- and gasketing parts for the European OEM industry. The family owned company, established in 1952, comprises ISO and TS certified production facilities in the Netherlands (head quarter) and Hungary. The company has specialised in advanced injection moulding techniques in rubber, thermoplastic elastomers and thermoplastics. This includes also twenty five years of experience in liquid injection moulding of LSR (liquid silicone rubber) and 2-component injection moulding. Besides this the company also manufactures parts with press, die-cutting and water jet cutting techniques.
