Bose releases upgrade of Electroforce software

The ElectroForce Systems Group of Bose Corporation has announced the launch of the ElectroForce Series 7 software, a significant upgrade to electro-magnetically driven test instruments. Running on the Windows 7 platform, the ElectroForce Series 7 software includes a Test Setup window that helps users quickly create test programs using an intuitive, step-by-step approach.

It also integrates "if-then-else" and "go to" functionality -- so a test can branch and change based on intermediate results, and deliver more efficient testing and faster answers for development engineers.  A whole new security suite has also been added to help organizations and laboratories more easily protect their test data, ensure the integrity of their results, and swiftly comply with industry regulations.

Furthermore the ElectroForce Series 7 software's Dynamic Mechanical Analysis capabilities have been enhanced. The Bose DMA approach allows test engineers to observe real-time results during the test, monitor the overall quality of the test as it progresses, and change test condition parameters as needed.

The ElectroForce Series 7 software will become available in Spring 2011, said Bose in the announcement released on 11 February.

"The new Series 7 software was developed to be user-friendly, and more importantly, it's been designed from the ground up to increase the productivity and effectiveness of the test engineers, scientists, and technicians using our test instruments," said Ed Moriarty, general manager of the Bose ElectroForce Systems Group.  "We believe existing and prospective customers alike will immediately recognize the advancements."
