Smithers Rapra appoints Manufacturing Leader

Steve Peel

Smithers Rapra announced the appointment of Steve Peel as Manufacturing Leader. He will support the technical processing team and specialised manufacturing services at the Shawbury site.

Peel comes from Petlon Polymers, a recycling company in the thermoplastics industry. Steve’s role with them included growing the Engineering Thermoplastics business including setting up new products. Previous to this he was employed with Chempolymer, formally BIP Thermoplastics Division, where he worked in both technical and quality departments before moving to production. As a shift manager the role was to manage up to nine production lines.
