Smithers names CFO

David J. Kantor

David J. Kantor

David J. Kantor has joined The Smithers Group (TSG) as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), responsible for leading the group’s finance organisation and providing an additional level of support for all TSG member companies worldwide.

Kantor began his career with PPG Industries Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Most recently, he was Vice President and Corporate Controller at PolyOne Corp. in Avon Lake, OH, USA. He is based at TSG’s headquarters in Akron.

Kantor is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, with an MBA in Finance and an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Industrial Management and in Management Information Systems.
