Krahn Chemie, Albis Plastic

Krahn Chemie and Albis Plastic are going to present their product portfolios and inform about new developments.

Most recently Krahn Chemie has enhanced its product portfolio by starting some new cooperations. New products available are Esprene EPDM of Sumitomo Chemical, fluoroelastomers (FKM) of Shanghai 3F New Materials, accelerators (CBS, MBTS) of Ouchi Shinko Chemical and magnesium oxide of Konoshima Chemical, which is used e.g. as activator and acid receptor. Daiso (Epichlomer, CPE, DAP) and Robinson (Robac accelerators and anti-ageing agents), both long-standing supplying partners of Krahn Chemie, are represented in Nuremberg at the stand. Among other products the portfolio of Krahn Chemie includes Skyprene CR und Toso-CSM of Tosoh, butadiene rubber (BR, SBR) of Kumho Petrochemical, Silastic silicone rubber of Dow Corning, Paganini and Puccini plasticiser oils of Q8 Kuwait Petroleum, Jayflex plasticisers of ExxonMobil Chemical, Chemlok/Chemosil adhesion promoters of Lord Germany and Frekote mould release agents of Henkel.

At this year’s DKT show another focus will be for the first time on thermoplastic elastomers. Albis Plastic is presenting their full range of thermoplastic elastomers. These are the Alfater TPVs made by Albis, the Desmopan TPUs from Bayer MaterialScience, the Evoprene TPS from AlphaGary and for the first time at DKT the Solplast TPS from Uteksol.

In particular Albis would like to highlight the new portfolio of Alfater XL that offers benefits for applications where components are exposed to blow-by gases. Alfater XL is in use in air ducts under the bonnet, which have to withstand temperatures of up to 150 °C and different media.

Krahn Chemie and Albis Plastic are part of Otto Krahn Group. Since more than 100 years the Hamburg-based group is a partner of the rubber industry.
