Kuraray's Kashima plant to resume normal production
The company said in a statement issued on 28 June that although its production facilities did not sustain major damage during the Great East Japan Earthquake in March 2011, the Kashima plant ceased operations until mid-April. From mid-April, the plant maintained partial production using existing raw material stocks until early May. Operations were suspended again from mid-May in order to conduct legally mandated, periodic repairs. Schedule of the resumption are listed below. Shipments of all products produced at the Kashima Plant were scheduled to restart on 1 July 2011.
