Halopolymer new member of PlasticsEurope

The Russian fluoropolymer producer Halopolymer has recently joined the European association of plastics manufacturers PlasticsEurope as new member company.

According to Halopolymer, this is an important step that allows the company to regularly receive up-to-date information about the fluoropolymers market, to participate in the discussion of regulatory and legal acts and technical regulations, to conduct joint research, and share experience with other member companies. In addition, the membership will provide Halopolymer with an opportunity of active participation in the TFE Safety Project that contributes to the improvement of industrial production safety of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE), a gaseous monomer used to produce a range of fluoropolymers and fluoroelastomers. The purpose of the project consists in conducting research and development, and design and engineering work on studying the explosive specification of TFE, development of recommendations for the safe storage, receipt, and use of TFE in the industry.

The association of plastics manufacturers PlasticsEurope is one of the leading European trade associations and has offices in Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Milan, and Paris. It has more than 100 member companies, producing over 90 % of all polymers across the 27 EU member states plus Norway, Switzerland, Croatia, and Turkey.
