Hexpol TPE to present at VDI TPE conference

Dr. Kjell Fagerström, managing director at Elasto Sweden AB will be presenting at the VDI TPE conference taking place in Nürnberg, 16-17 April 2013. The conference will focus on two component manufacturing and the role of TPEs in multi-component applications.

The paper on “Optimal 2-K TPE Moulding onto Preferred Engineering Substrates” will outline the design challenges when developing combined material technologies and explore how details made of thermoplastic that show soft-touch qualities or integrated seals can differentiate products, increase consumer appeal and add brand value. Successful examples of multi-component applications will be demonstrated.

Kjell Fagerström joined Elasto Sweden in 2001. Among his key successes have been the development of Elasto’s Mediprene range for the medical device industry. He holds a PhD in Chemical Physics and his career has taken him to a variety of specialist sectors including R+D for the nuclear industry, hazardous waste materials and paper coating.
