MALAYSIA Scientex, Futamura reach agreement on Malaysian BOPP film production
Scientex said the objective of the partnership is to build a world class plant that adheres to stringent Japanese standards and quality, yet takes advantage of Malaysia’s lower production costs.
Futamura will have the right to 30% of the BOPP film plant’s capacity, which will be about 1,500 tons per month, for sale and distribution in Japan, while Scientex will assist in the development, marketing and sale of Futamura products or products developed using its technology to existing and new markets in Southeast Asia.
