Change in the Board of Management at Lanxess

Werner Breuers, Board Member of Lanxess AG and up to now responsible for the segments Performance Polymers and Advanced Intermediates, will leave the company at his own request after his contract ends on 31 May 2015, in order to pursue new challenges.

Werner Breuers will leave the Board of Management with immediate effect. He will, however, remain in an advisory role to Lanxess for a transitional period.

The Supervisory Board has with immediate effect handed over the responsibility for the segments Performance Polymers and Advanced Intermediates to Matthias Zachert, Chairman of the Board of Management of Lanxess AG, on a temporary basis. The company intends to fill the vacated position in the Board of Management in the next twelve months.
