PDP returns to the CPI Polyurethanes Technical Conference 2014
The focus on Environmental Health and Safety subjects begins with a special pre-conference workshop titled “Introduction to Environmental Health and Safety Issues Relative to Diisocyanates.” For the second consecutive year, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the fundamental concepts related to EH&S regulations, industrial hygiene, toxicology, medical surveillance and exposure control. This special-interest seminar is offered at no additional cost to registered conference attendees and will be held on Sunday, 21 September 2014, from 1 to 5 pm.
The PDP’s eight courses run concurrently with the technical conference and range from broad, introductory subjects to advanced, specialised topics. All courses are taught by subject-matter experts.
- PU 101: Introduction to Polyurethane Chemistry
- PU 102: Introduction to Polyurethane Technology
- PU 103: Polyurethane Markets and Applications
- PU 104A: Polyurethane Adhesives and Sealants
- PU 104B: Polyurethane Coatings and Elastomers
- PU 105: Polyurethane Processing Equipment
- PU 201: Polyurethane Raw Materials, Testing, Specifications and Performance: The Myth and the Magic
- PU 204: Physical Testing of Polyurethane Foams
This extensive range of courses provides topics of interest to non-technical and technical professionals alike. PU 101, PU 102 and PU 103 may interest an industry newcomer who desires a comprehensive overview of polyurethane chemistry, chemical ingredients and machinery, and end-products and markets. Similarly, PU 104A and B appeal to those who work in specialised polyurethane fields, such as coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE). PU 105 provides an overview of the machinery and engineering behind creating polyurethane products. Meanwhile, PU 201 and PU 204 may appeal to attendees with advanced technical backgrounds, as these courses feature intermediate and advanced topics. PU 201 presents a detailed examination of polyurethane chemical interactions and machinery, while PU 204 covers testing methods for different types of foam products.
Whether attending one or more courses, PDP tuition is a flat fee of USD 200 in addition to regular conference registration; this fee includes course materials.
