SAUDI ARABIA: International Polymers starting up EVA and LDPE facility in Jubail
The new facility, owned 75 % by Saudi International Petrochemical (Sipchem) and 25 % by Hanwha Chemical, is considered the first of its kind in the Middle East, noted Sipchem Chief Executive Ahmad A. Al-Ohali.
The start-up process will continue until all production units have been tested to ensure efficiency and an announcement of commercial operation will be made in due course, Al-Ohali added.
