Chemie-Plast Thermoplastic Technology Day

A technology day focusing on the latest innovations in the TPU/TPE sector will take place on 13 September in Porta Westfalica, Germany, at the offices of the plastics distribution house Chemie-Plast. The day is being organised by Chemie-Plast in cooperation with Huntsman Polyurethanes; CTS (Compound Technology Services); SO.F.TER SPA; and the University of Osnabrück together with Brabender Messtechnik.

Representatives from each participating organisation will deliver presentations about the latest thermoplastic polyurethane and thermoplastic elastomer developments. The issues and trends affecting the industry will also be discussed alongside details of emerging markets and the increasing importance of solutions that can help increase efficiency across manufacturing. Other topics on the agenda include TPU seals; formulations for automotive applications; advances in bio-based thermoplastics; polyamide and polyester developments; plus general advice regarding error prevention and troubleshooting in the use of thermoplastic materials.

Hosting technology days is a core part of this. Our first technical event took place back in 2000. Since then we’ve hosted many others at regular intervals. Our customers always comment on how much they learn and we are sure this event will be equally advantageous for all attendees.”

The event is free to attend and open to individuals with a technical or commercial interest in thermoplastics. It is aimed specifically at senior managers, product developers, production staff and purchasing employees at companies that injection mold and extrude thermoplastics for use in automotive, construction and general industrial applications.

Proceedings will start at 10:00am and finish at 4:00pm. Attendees are invited to arrive at 9:30am for registration and coffee. A buffet lunch will be served with further presentations in the afternoon followed by a general question and answer session to conclude the day.
