Woodbridge presents GreenLite at IZB

Exhibiting in the Canadian Pavilion at the International Suppliers Fair (IZB), Wolfsburg, Germany, Woodbridge presented its intelligent applications of “Lean Polymers” to offer lighter, more environmentally responsible products to the automotive industry, where fuel economy is the main focus.

GreenLite low mass technologies provide components that are highly functional and lower in cost, helping automotive OEMs to reduce component weight by up to 40 %. The company also offers BioFoam products containing chemicals from renewable resources, to offer an even smaller environmental footprint. ComforTech performance seating urethanes, offer a balance between comfort, weight and durability while managing firmness through a wide density spectrum, to provide up to a 30 % weight reduction and reducing cost.

StructureLite seat frames are manufactured from PU or expanded PP, and are used in seat cushion, backs and bolster applications. This technology offers up to a 35 % weight reduction, part consolidation, faster assembly, better trim fit and appearance, improved anti-submarining performance and a system cost savings, says the company. StrataLiner NET composite boards provide improved acoustical performance, when package space is at a premium. StrataLiner NXT boards deliver cross-sections as low as 2.5 mm.
