PU machinery for lightweight composite parts and quality surfaces

Munich-based KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH will present machine technology and process solutions for manufacturing high quality surfaces and lightweight components at PU China from 18 – 20 September 2012 in Shenzhen, booth number 900.

The company offers all services along the process chain and for complete process planning from a single source. KraussMaffei intends to demonstrate its know-how by means of numerous practical examples, showing that it offers the right process for optimised production for all corresponding component requirements.

For example, the long fibre injection (LFI) process is used along with in-mould painting for large-format components for trucks and agricultural machinery on account of the quality surface and reasonable machine costs. KraussMaffei also has the know-how for the production of high pressure mixing heads with laminar, splash-free material flow and accurate high pressure metering systems, as well as experience in the design of different systems for flexible and high strength polyurethane products.

The product portfolio also includes various machine components covering the entire production process, e. g. mould carriers, polyurethane moulds, and cutting solutions for the manufacture of ready-to-install fibre composite components. Furthermore, KraussMaffei offers solutions for all surface requirements and complete production cells. Components with high quality surfaces can be produced up to 30 % cheaper using its combined processes such as ColorForm or SkinForm, says the company.
