Chemtura completes expansion of European Regional Technical Development Center

Chemtura Corporation has expanded its Adiprene/Vibrathane European Regional Technical Development Center located at its Latina Scalo, Italy, polyurethane prepolymer production facility.

The expansion has been completed with the successful installation and commissioning of an industrial scale Unipre three-component meter/mix machine coupled to a fully synchronised rotary casting system.

According to Chemtura, the new equipment will enable the company to further develop and expand its range of Adiprene Ribbon Flow prepolymer systems, which are used for the rotational casting of industrial rolls that are primarily utilised in the paper, steel, and printing markets.

The prepolymer systems are used in industrial applications that require high wear resistance, toughness, and durability. The new capability as well as the existing facilities are fully accessible to Chemtura's clients wishing to pursue R&D projects on industrial-scale production technology.
