Two-component spray gun for PU and polyurea applications

The German company Wiwa – Wilhelm Wagner GmbH & Co. KG based in Lahnau has expanded its programme of polyurethane application equipment with the newly developed two-component spray gun PU Gun 4040 for PU and polyurea applications. In addition to manual operation, the spray gun can also be used in an automatic coating system by simply replacing the handle with an optional adapter for pneumatic operation.

The concept of this pneumatically operated spray gun is based on the impingement mixing technique. The poly and iso components exit spray tips directly into the mixing chamber at a pressure of up to 250 bar. The streams contact directly in front of the tips, immediately mixing the material without the need for a static mixer. Through a simple exchange of mixing chamber and tips, the output can be adjusted to meet any customer requirements, says Wiwa. The output rate ranges from 1,2 – 22 kg/min. The PU Gun 4040 can be used with round and flat stream tips.

According to the company, the spray gun can be adjusted quickly and easily for different application requirements and offers optimal working ergonomics. The low weight of the spray gun, the optimised grip design, and the variable arrangement of the fluid hose connections guarantee fatigue-free operation for the coating even of large surfaces.

In addition to the spray gun the scope of supply includes a sturdy case, a tool kit, a grease pump, a twist drill kit, and a protective cover. As optional equipment an adapter for automatic operation, flushing arrangements, mixing chambers, round and flat stream tips, as well as various connections are available
