New manufacturing plant of Honeywell

New manufacturing plant of Honeywell

Honeywell is committed to developing solutions that improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact, and is equally committed to making the investments needed to achieve this mission.

Honeywell
staff recently attended the Center for Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) Conference and spoke to many customers about the recent progress with its Solstice Liquid Blowing Agent (LBA). Some of the highlights are:

  • Solstice LBA GWP revised to 1, equal to that of CO2! See paper published in Reviews of Geophysics that recalculates the global warming potentials (GWPs) for HCFCs, HFCs, and HFOs.
  • Solstice LBA is VOC-exempt.
  • A spray foam roofing system developed with Solstice LBA has received a severe hail rating from FM Global, a leading commercial business insurer.
  • The Cleveland Airport System selected spray foam roofing formulated with Solstice LBA (the same system that earned the severe hail rating) to repair 500,000 sq. ft. of roofs spanning two airports.
  • Honeywell won best poster at CPI for “Roofing with Solstice LBA Systems”.
  • Above all, at the CPI conference the company showcased its new manufacturing plant (see picture), nearly complete and ready to come on-stream in Q2/2014.
