JSC Panex starts producing sandwich panels with Saip Contitech technology showcased in Cedepa
JSC Panex operates mainly in design, construction, project management and equipping of industrial buildings. It provides customers with all components of industrial construction, from designing up to building material and industrial floors. JSC Panex provides also projects on a “turn-key” condition. Innovation and efficiency needs have moved the company towards the choice of equipping themselves with a production line.
The Contitech is Saip technology conceived for the continuous production of sandwich panels. Each line is composed by several functional groups of machines and equipment; each of them studied and developed on real customer’s needs and targets, such as: properties of the final product requested, raw materials to be processed, productivity, finishing and quality and so on.
The line designed for JSC Panex is going to produce wall and roof panels with PU/PIR core – class B2/B3, with different densities, thickness of 150 mm max and length varying from 2,000 – 15,000 mm.
The line has a production speed up to 15 m/min and it is equipped with an electrical control system. The management and control is assigned to a number of interconnected PCs installed along the line. Remote assistance is provided as a standard.
One of the decisive factors in choosing Saip’s technology has been Cedepa: the Saip and Dow centre for research and development of sandwich panels, manufactured by a continuous process. Members of the JSC board were invited to Cedepa with the scope to showcase how the lines work, verify the quality of Saip’s solutions and experience all kinds of assistance/services offered: all elements which can make the difference in the developing of a profitable business.
According to Saip, the following characteristics of Cedepa were mainly appreciated by the customer:
- the high automation level of the line
- its performance
- its flexibility, which enables the line to produce panels of different sizes, formats and performances
- products performance tests available
- the wide possibilities of trials and trainings available
- Saip's way of working and assisting the customer.
“We want the customers to understand the quality of our products and the quality of Saip's support all along the designing phase, the start-up and the ordinary production”, said Ing. Roland Rast, Saip Technical Director, in charge for the Project. “That is why Saip explains its proposals directly and into the detail; furthermore, thanks to Cedepa, Saip is able to demonstrate the added value of its solutions and the customer can be sure of having done a good investment”, Rast added.
