UTECH Europe 2012: Performance Chemicals

Performance Chemicals will present its extended PC CAT series of polyurethane catalysts for all applications.

Newly presented products will include: PC CAT NP 151 HA, a non-volatile catalyst that will be built into the polymer matrix. In flexible foam it provides faster gelling, thereby allowing shorter cycle and demoulding time in comparison with other offered VOC-free catalysts. PC CAT NP 223 for faster end-curing of CASE-systems.

PC CAT T 5 and PC CAT T 7 are tin(II)-catalysts as substitution for T 9, stannous octoate for use in applications where 2-EH acid as cleavage product is undesired. The reactive nano-dispersions polyols of the PC TOL RND series developed by a new patented process have multiple applications, especially in coatings where hardness of > 80 Shore D can be achieved. This technology has been used in biocidal coatings to show better antifouling properties than today’s leading products. The PC TOL RND series does not contain leachable biocides.

The new technology of the PC TOL CC Clear Coat series allows solvent-free lacquered coatings with hardness of 85 Shore D, very smooth surfaces, and high UV stability. These are based on the newly developed HDI prepolymer containing a monomer content of only approximately 0.1 %, potential emissions are significantly reduced.
