Bridgestone announces measures following the earthquake

In a press release published on March, 18, Bridgestone summarized the latest status of the restart plans of manufacturing facilities located in eastern part of Japan, and the activities for brownout to relieve the shortage of electricity are as follows:

 

  1. The latest status of the restart plans of the factories

(1)  Tochigi Factory :

Restarted production from March 16
Under study to restart delivery from March 18 onwards

(2)  Nasu Factory :

Now rescheduling to restart production *

(3)  Kuroiso Factory :

Restarted production from March 16

(4)  Tokyo Factory :

Restarted production from March 15
Restarted delivery from March 16 onwards

(5)  Yokohama Factory :

Partial production has already resumed after plant safety was confirmed.

*Nasu Factory initially planned to restart production from March 16, but due to the investigation of facilities following the small smokes and fire sparks on the same day, it has rescheduled the restart.
