According to the company, particularly in the consumer sector packaging producers require compact machinery solutions with a high flexibility to produce packaging in a huge range of sizes and different materials. The KCC15-D combines these characteristics, says Kautex.

The machine, which is designed as a double station, works with the latest extrusion blow-moulding technology and is equipped with a six-fold die head in two layer DeCo configuration. An extruder for the outside-layer gives a constant optical picture and saves the use of masterbatch in overall consumption, according to Kautex. The inside-layer can be used for the flash from the process as well as from other applications without any effect on the bottle outlook. The article conveyor system transfers the articles to a single exit point. Additional peripheral devices are available.

The double station machine is suitable for all conventional blow-moulding materials and consumer packaging in sizes from 50 ml to approximately 5 l. During production, the articles are checked by an automatic weight scale device. With twelve cavities, the machine achieves a production rate of approximately 3,600 articles per hour.
