Teknor Apex’ Asian activities with new name

Teknor Apex has established Teknor Apex Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. The new name replaces that of Singapore Polymer Corporation (SPC), an international business based in Singapore that was acquired by Teknor Apex in 2001. Already bearing the Teknor Apex name is a sister company in China, Teknor Apex Suzhou Advanced Polymer Compounds Co. Ltd. Stanly L.K. Tan became managing director of both enterprises in 2010.

Engel puts focus on energy efficiency at Chinaplas

For the Austrian machinery supplier Engel the focus at Chinaplas will be completely on energy efficiency. With its five exhibits the injection moulding machine maker and automation expert will be presenting turn-key solutions for highly economic manufacturing.

Chinaplas 2011, the 25th international exhibition on the plastics and rubber industries, will be held from 17 – 20 May 2011 in the largest exhibition hall in Asia, the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou, China. According to the organiser, the event is the largest plastics and rubber exhibition in Asia and one of the most influential exhibitions of its kind in the world. The exhibition will cover a total area of more than 160,000 m2. The event is expected to attract more than 2,200 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions and will feature 11 pavilions hosted by Austria, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, UK, USA, China, and Taiwan. The organisers expect about 80,000 visitors, 18 % of whom are overseas visitors from more than 130 countries and regions.
