Boy to highlight compact injection moulding machines at Chinaplas 2011
"The BOY XS allows for maximum performance in the smallest space," says Klaus Engel, Export Manager of Boy. "With a footprint of only 0,7 m² and a stroke volume from 0,1 cm³ up to 8,0 cm³, parts can be produced precisely in continuous production". This distinguishes the BOY XS from other small machines. With optimal automation solutions, the very compact BOY XS opens new possibilities for micro and single-cavity applications, says the company.
Economical single-cavity moulding is attained through a specially engineered nozzle system. It reaches right into the cavity. Therefore, the moulded part is manufactured without a sprue. This eliminates the need for expensive mould specific hot runner systems. Due to the low plasticising volume of the special nozzle, the user can produce parts economical without requiring additional energy or material for a hot runner and sprue.
BOY E-series with servo-drive
Energy saving, more precise, more dynamic and significantly more quiet – these are the main advantages of the E-series with the new servo-drive, says the company. The BOY E-series runs very quietly and has a compact footprint of only 1,9 m². The four tie-bar BOY 35 E with its cantilevered, two-platen clamping system is the most compact injection moulding machine in its size range. Also new with the BOY 35 E is the swivel-out injection unit. This feature significantly reduces changeover times of the plasticising unit, according to Boy.
