Galpin and Joly promoted to new positions at Teknor Apex Europe

Barry Galpin has been promoted to the position of European sales director and Dr. Gert Joly to the position of R&D manager for the TPE Division of Teknor Apex in Europe.

Before becoming European TPE business development manager for Teknor Apex in 2008, Barry Galpin had acquired 24 years of automotive industry experience, much of it involving rubber components. In 2010, Teknor Apex promoted him to TPE sales director for the UK, Ireland, and continental Europe. Besides his native English, he speaks French

Gert Joly’s involvement with TPEs began in 1998 when he joined Shell and worked on product development and technical service for the Kraton SEBS range. He joined DSM in 2006 as European product development manager for Sarlink compounds. In 2008 he became manufacturing manager, and he continued in that position after Teknor Apex acquired the Sarlink business in late 2010. During that period, construction of a new Sarlink TPV plant took place in Genk, Belgium. Joly holds a PhD degree in chemistry from the University of Leuven in Belgium.
