New appointments at Teknor Apex
Subsequently he spent ten years with Zeon in marketing positions. He holds a B.S. degree in mechanical and polymer engineering from the University of Akron. Christopher G. Smith has been appointed to the position of New Business Development and Technical Project Manager for non-automotive TPE markets. Prior to this, Smith spent four years as an application development specialist for Teknor Apex. He entered the plastics industry in 1989, spending ten years in tooling design for Fylde Precision Toolmakers. Subsequently he held positions in design engineering and project management for Synventive, Magna Automotive, and Husky Injection Molding Solutions. He holds an MSc degree in polymer product manufacturing and design from London Metropolitan University and a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Mechanical and Production Engineering.
