The C4 Cactus is Citroën’s new crossover car. The French Tier 1 supplier Faurecia supplied equipment for both the inside and outside of the new vehicle, contributing to the revival of the famous brand. Among these features is a very interesting TPU application.

The thermoplastic polyurethane was used in the integral protective cladding on the vehicle’s front and rear bumpers and rear spoiler. The supple TPU skin used for the cladding provides protection from day-to-day bumps and scratches and absorbs minor impacts.
Other contributions to the C4 Cactus from Faurecia include:

  • Seat frames and mechanisms, creating large seats with a “sofa” feel in the front and a single-piece bench in the rear
  • Front bumpers and external trim on the trunk, including two-color Citroën logos
  • Soundproofing for the firewall, the front and rear underlay and front carpets for the passenger compartment.
