Reverdia to license Biosuccinium technology
Reverdia's low pH yeast-based process converts feedstock directly to bio-succinic acid. The company currently manufactures bio-succinic acid at its 10,000 t/y production plant in Cassano, Italy, and sells the product under the Biosuccinium brand. The raw material is a building block for the production of polymers and chemicals, including polybutylene succinate (PBS), resins for paints and coatings, phthalate-free plasticisers, and polyester polyols for polyurethanes. According to Reverdia, the licensing offering is essential to open up the market for bio-succinic acid.
