CPI releases a new guidance document for videos and images showing SPF application

The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) has released a new document with guidance on how to visually illustrate application of high- and low-pressure spray polyurethane foam (SPF).

The document provides information about the different types of SPF and their uses. It also explains what appropriate handling and personal protective equipment should be illustrated in a video or image depicting SPF application.

"One of the polyurethane industry's product stewardship goals is to help educate those using SPF about appropriate handling and good safety practices. It is important that videos and pictures used in marketing materials, home renovation shows, magazines and elsewhere show appropriate safety measures being taken by everyone at the job site. This free guidance document is available to anyone who is producing videos or images of spray foam application so they can help show what good safety practices look like," said Lee Salamone, senior director of CPI.

The new guidance document can be downloaded free of charge from the CPI SPF Health and Safety website, www.spraypolyurethane.org, under "Resources."
