Cabot breaks ground on new carbon black plant in China
The partners are investing approximately USD 140 million in the new facility, with Cabot owning a 60 % equity interest. The facility is located about 400 km south of Beijing in Heibei Province and is scheduled to be completed in mid-2013. It will have a Phase I manufacturing capacity of 130,000 t of carbon black per year. Cabot (China) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cabot Corporation and Risun Chemical is a wholly owned subsidiary of Risun Coal Chemicals Group, Ltd.
